Race and Class: Inextricably Linked

Through our education on race and class, we understand this topic includes race and social mobility. Our country’s legacy of slavery, segregation, and Jim Crow laws has trapped many Black Americans in poverty. Through readings and discussions, we will become familiar with how the White community played a role in economic barriers to wealth accumulation and how financial institutions intentionally restricted opportunities for Black Americans. We will examine current issues and explore how we can help. Before the program, please read the first 3 short articles posted for Nov. 30 on https://sites.google.com/view/cbht-tikkun-olam/home
