Youth Education & Programs
Congregation Beth HaTephila's Religious School has a single, but all-encompassing goal: Growing Jewish Lives.
A dedicated faculty works hand-in-hand with families to bring a love of Judaism to life in a way that inspires a lifetime of Jewish learning and a strong commitment to Tikkun Olam and the Jewish community.
The Sunday morning religious school program provides children and youth age 3 through 7th grade with experiential opportunities to engage with Jewish tradition, history, prayers, music, Torah and ethics. Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation is supported by the curriculum. By the time a child finishes 6th grade, he/she will feel comfortable leading a Kabalat Shabbat service knowing, in Hebrew, all the prayers and songs. Whether they pursue a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or not, teens are invited to continue their exploration of Judaism in our Kadima Program (8th & 9th grades), Confirmation (10th grade), and Madrichim (religious school class assistants) .
Our approach to Jewish education is a happy and meaningful one. We strive to inspire a lifelong love of Jewish learning and bring a love of Judaism to our students and their families. We invite you to join with us on our Jewish journeys!
